The Cabin in the Cotton in Soviet Release

Michael Curtiz’s The Cabin in the Cotton (1932) was produced by the First National (controlled by Warner Brothers).  The film was released in the USSR in 1934 under the title Предательсто Марвина Блейка (Marvin Blake’s Betrayal).   Through melodrama narrative, the film explains the necessity of the New Deal policies.
